Caroline Wozniacki you did good!

Even with

Despite  a nervous ending, Caroline Wozniacki was able to impose her new tennis strategy and improved service to win her first “major” tournament. Caroline’s Final opponent was the in-form (but very tired at age 37) Serena Williams.

It was the 2017 season-end  WTA Finals, beating seven others who also qualified with most points accumulated over the season. So they were the eight top in-form WTA ladies tennis players of the year.

Well fought Caroline Wozniacki

Today Caroline Wozniacki applied all her experience and newly acquired thinking to beat a skilled Elina Pliskova 7-6 and 6-3.

Yesterday Caroline seemed to go from brilliantly positive to a shell like passiveness when losing a match in three sets she ought to have comfortably won in two.
Well played Caroline you will scare the rest with your improving “new style”.

Caroline Wozniacki ill, injured, or naive?

The event – 2017 Year end WTA Group Finals. Her opponent – Caroline Garcia.

In all the times I’ve watched Caroline Wozniacki play, I have never seen her so tactically sound, accurate, or service dominant. And she won the first set 6-0!

THEN immediately all changed! She turned timid, unsure and her service lost its bite and accuracy. Seemingly for no good reason at all. Was she ill. Was she injured. Did she naively change tactics from positive to negative?

She lost the next two sets 6-3 and 7-5.
